Understandable considering that in the past couple of days Sony A7r grabs all the attention.
But Michael, wait six weeks (Sony sales person who took my deposit for 7r expects to get the first batch around 3rd week of November) and we shell see great number of posts with Leica-R glass that otherwise required modifications for DSLR (say 19mm, 35/50 Lux)
Some Leica-R lenses like Elmarit-R 28 are fairly small and along with Cron-R 35&50 they will make a perfect combo with new Sony FF camera.
Personally I will only keep Zeiss 2.8/21 and perhaps 2/35 but will let go other oversized ZF glass (MP 50/100) This will make Leica-R along with odd-balls like Rokkor 58/1.2, couple Voigtlanders M and Nikkors AI-s my primary setup.
From a recent trip to NW Scotland and after a few grim days of abysmal weather, the weather came good and an excursion on the Cuillin hills on the Isle of Skye.
Some amazing pictures all of you folks. Just started to think about a Leica R lens (or two), but I will use it with the Nikon D800 as a complement to some of the classic Nikkors I have. Any thoughts on what's good at the ~50mm or the ~85mm fl in Leica? Also see some great 180mm images here. Just started looking through the web, are there any websites that anyone would recommend?
