Here are my very first attempts with the R 50 Summicron Michael and Jack forced me to buy...
These pics were taken in Paris, around the Ile de la Cité, a few minutes after I bought the lens.
LZ, Great work as always, especially #2. We all know lens can't make you good images, but I am glad to see this 'little' cron can give you some motivation/inspiration to your work!
A few with the 180/3.4 telyt APO Leica. Converted to F mount via Leitax and mounted on my D800.
This lens does not disappoint optically on the D800. It's big and heavy, but it's worth the lugging around.
And one more from this evening and the 180/3.4 Leica APO.
Almost deleted this one, but found the sail to have a bright color when everything else in the frame was nearly colorless.
Heavy heavy crop.
Michael - took your comments seriously, and installed my Eg-s matte focusing screen last night (felt like camera surgery!). So far, it allows me to nail focus on 28mm where the prev screen was useless. Noticeably darker at 2.8, but the DOF at >2.8 is now totally visible.
Test drive tonight!
Been nailing the focus like a boss with the new screen! Almost as good as live view magnified. And, to be fair, I don't always need it to be perfectly in focus - the focal plan is paper thin on many of my close shots anyway.
Date night tonight- 6D with 50cron. Shot the first one while I was walking and focused really well with just the viewfinder at f2. Left spot metering on, and blew out the shot, but it still looks kinda cool.
Second one is part of our Japanese meal. Third shot is for the pixel peepers in here f5.6 (should be peak sharpness). Caught the cityscape along with some clouds blocking out the CN Tower. 50cron is impressively sharp stopped down.
