I am thinking of picking up a Leica 60mm macro lens. Are there any particular versions which are better than others? Not looking to spend a lot but do want a solid performing macro and landscape lens. Thanks!
theyre all the same optically. I picked up a 2 cam from KEH for a good price and it's a really great lens. I almost said little but then I remembered it's pretty big. it's got a nice flat field, too, so I kept it despite not really needing it per se:
I like it but I wouldn't pay ROM money for it when 2 and 3 cam versions go for a lot less. If it were only available at ROM price, I might honestly pass on it. But at 2 cam price it's a must buy, just like anything else in the picture at the right price.
zygibajt, such a beauty!
Ron, I don't really know, walk around at that beach, saw the interesting color and snap it. But looks like some kind of natural mineral.
Paul, which body you use?
jhinkey, the 180 looks great here!
Gary, heard many great thing about 60macro, it has single glass formula without change. For macro and landscape, it should be a great lens.

Great colours in Hawaii! Did you use an ND grad filter for any of these shots?
No, just handhold snap shot with some tweak in post to recreate the color I saw.
