I mean the images seems sharper/better than their published 50lux V1 MTF, which is very similar to Zeiss Planar MTF, but real world image is vast different at 1.4.
Maybe Zeiss lied. Planar isnt exactly sharp at 1.4.. its "so-so". But I cant really know, cause S5 Pro is as far from sharp detail machine as possible.

@Eiffel: thanks for posting these! I like all of them, but particularly the second one. I'm currently considering purchasing this lens. Which version of the lens were these images made with?

No surprise. 35lux at f2 and f2.8 bokeh is very smooth, even smoother than 35cron. I compared 35cron and 35lux at same aperture, and notice 35lux has more blur, smoother than 35cron at f2 and ff2.8.
35lux at WO, Bokeh can be busy occasionally, especially at edge.
That photo of the old dude is one of the most amazing that I have seen in this thread. And it was shot with the Elmarit 35mm? The snowy bus one is awesome too. I love the sharp and not too shallow DOF look. Absolutely love it.
Agree that is awesome portrait. Check earlier in this thread, post from Thomas. FM member 'madamasu'. You will like his work. I like his bold representation from all his Leica R shots.
Though, I have to say photographer with strong PP skill is the reason not the lens.
At f2.8 or f4, it hard to get a crappy lens for portrait.
