Just picked up the 50mm 1.4 E60 (Thanks Alex), the 100 2.8 Macro APO and the 180 2.8 APO. Also, looks like the prices are starting to level off and or go down on the popular auction site. The overseas asian sellers however are still way overpriced as usual.
Just purchased my first leica from B&H used. The summicron-R 50 E55, made in germany, came with case. $599 and its condition 9. Seemed like a decent price based on going rates on fleebay.
Multiple cameras, EOS 1Dx, 5D3 and a 1V with some Provia or Tmax 100 for fun. Sure wish I had some Tech pan...the Leica lenses would do quite nicely! Already have the Leitax adapters hooked up to them and a EC-S focus screen. Helps quite a bit, especially with the 1.4!
Been toying around with the idea of the 6D hooked up to the Leica glass. The camera in silent mode is VERY quiet. Great for street photography!
My only R lenses so far are Elmarit 28 (not the great one) and the lovely Macro-Elmarit 60 with 1:1 adapter.

Yesterday on a day spent instructing on sailplanes I used:
Sony Nex5N with native zoom for AF video and stills in the cockpit. (bracket mounted)
Contax N1 with 24-85, loaded with Kodak Portra.
Leica M8 and CV 35/1.4 for on-airfield and late afternoon airborne shots.
Kiev 4 / Jupiter 8 with Fomapan 100
I also have a Leicaflex SL body but haven't yet tried it with the native lenses as yet.
I've found out some tricks with the Leica lenses. The 100 2.8 APO can be used with the Canon "Life size converter" for a 1:1 ratio. This is the same one used for the Canon 50mm 2.5 macro. Works great.
Also, the 180 APO 2.8 with Canon Leitax adapter can be used with a Canon 1.4x extender with no problems. This is for the FIRST batch of Leica 180 APO 2.8 lenses. The Leitax adds enough space so that the 1.4x will couple to the lens with no problems. Give it a try!
Not likely. Haven't tried it with the other adapters like Fotodiox and I'd be concerned about the spacing between the 1.4x and the rear element of the 180 2.8 APO. The Leitax is a solid adapter - I'd rather use it rather than the Fotodiox which has really thin and tiny length screws holding the whole thing together.
