Worldinlens, thanks for the comparison. Can't judge sharpness with this size, they looks similar. but E60 is noticeable smoother, which I noticed from recent surf its images online. E55 has strong Cat eye, my E48 might even worse for its mechanical vignette.
E60 seems one of the best lens (of the f/1.4 lenses), bokeh smooth, low vignetting, real sharpness not great, similar E55 and N50/[email protected], but one thing brings all the advantages - very-very-very hard to focusing, even at LiveView mode. Separately want to to note about R50/2E55 - it is pleasant for any apertures
I will publish soon the all series in my LiveJournal, there will be full-size shots from f/1.4 to f/8 for all 4 lenses
thanks and your shots are great ...as always

Hence my redundant question as to whether all lenses were WO?
Of course, all 1.4-lenses at WO on this shots
You find difficult to focus with E60? On my copy is very difficult to know where is the exact focus visually. Maybe something wrong with it?

LoL. I did not say that it is difficult to focus but that the DoF is very thin.
Having said that, focusing with any lens at 1.4 or 1.2 is not a walk in the park!
I understand your humor )) I can say that no any problem with E55. But E60 - "ass" of focusing process for me I have never had a second copy of E60, so I do not compare to anything.

You are the second one complain this E60 50lux focusing. Carsten mention that at different thread. I am not that surprised to hear that as I have difficulty focus Zeiss Distagon 35 1.4, but that lens is quite sharp and has less SA than Planar 50. I was trying to generalize some conclusion about why is so difficult without success. Though it(focus transition, Bokeh) could be smooth over the whole range, I feel it is focus transition might be very fast around/close to focus plain. but eye can't feel it untill 100% zoom. that is not the case I see so far from 50lux E48, 35 and 50cron R. In that case, sharp lens at 1.4 might not be a good thing, as you can easily see mis focusing.
I was using the same E60 as Aleksandr But I also sometimes have a lot of trouble with the 35 Lux-R. Maybe my eyes are just used to the contrast of my Zeiss lenses.

You revealed the main secret of E60-statistics ))))
...what can I say about my E60...
1. Sharpness is not higher than the E55 in the center at the near distance. At the same time, to get a sharp picture on E55 is much easier for me. Yes, the E55 has more soft sometimes, but sharpness similar
2. No clearly defined focus sharpness. I can rotate the focusing ring +/-1mm and all seems the same. Very difficult to conclude that "Yes! Here it is the position of the most accurate focusing!"
P.S. I shoted the previous comparison two times because the first time, in spite of the multiple shooting at WO E60 I was not in focus finally! (focused by LiveView with maximum magnification)
I have no problem with my E60. Obviously focusing any lens at 1.4 or 1.2 is finicky but the result are mind blowing and in the case of Phuang3 picture of the young lady with the 3d effect and pseudo HDR is spot on and here is a picture of the E60 on a D800 showing again the 3d effect and pseudo HDR (no PP on this pic).
The thing I've found about fast lenses is that the faster the lens, the easier it is to focus as the DOF is more precise, oh and as long is your diopter is calibrated properly.
