How many shutter counts before the sensor will fail? I would think all things mechanica can be repaired. It is the only electronics that will pose a problem. Generally what is the lifespan of this camera?
I doubt if anyone can predict when a sensor might die on you.
I think the Kodak SLR's are rated for a 100k shutter.
I recall reading in the original release that these were weather sealed as well. Of course, this never applies to the rubber grip on the camera that would peel off after about a year or two. But overall, I beleive these kodak SLRs are well built sturdy cameras.
The cost of ownership for this full frame SLR is quite low by comparison - so might as well get one and enjoy it while it lasts.

Wonderful colors there...!.... not to mention the detail....
I'm so glad that I discovered this wonderful Kodak DSLR ...
I'd have been pissed if I ended my hobby without experiencing this mind blowing camera...
Well, thanks to you and a few others in this thread I knew I had to get it So thanks for the inspiration!! Agreed, this camera, once you actually get the shot, delivers some incredible files. The detail at 100 % is just astonishing. And the colors OOC are perfect IMO.
I've never used a Kodak SLR before, but I really appreciate this thread - wonderful images indeed.
The comments for color I so agree with - I sold my Sony A850 setup a while back, and while I love my D700 and lenses, I really do miss the "look" of the A850 and CZ 24-70, and especially of files from users of the CZ 135. These photos remind me very much of the A850 files.
I do really, really love the look of the lack of AA filter, such sharp files - very nice.
Just checked one of my fav shops here in Tokyo about Kodak SLR C, they say that they used to buy/sell those, but apparently they had nothing but trouble with failing cameras, so they are not touching those with "a barge pole" in their own words. Wonder what those extensive problems might be....
