Greg- I used a macro lens.... Tamron 90 f2.8. I love that lens!
Carolyn- Look through your leaf pile from last fall. Some of the leaves will look like this. You may need to go down two layers, tho. Thanks for the nice comment!
Art imitates life!!! Sometimes when I look at a decomposed leaf pattern, I think of an aerial map of neighborhoods and subdivisions with many cul-de-sacs!
