Just in case you aren't already aware, you can use a freeware program called EOSinfo to get a shutter count. Just download it and then hook your camera up to your computer using the camera's USB cord and you'll get your shutter count.
BTW, at that price, I'd be very tempted to bite if it's still available.
Shutter count is really not important because it may not be a sign of the mileage of the camera.
A shutter costs like $300 to replace and the 5d has a shutter rated for 100,000 actuations. So, even if it has 99,000 actuations the shutter is kinda like buying a car and having to get the transmission flushed..
