I've not yet noticed the "onion" bokeh in any of my photos. The Sigma is a killer lens if you can get one without AF issues....

Michael, you wouldn't see onion bokeh in any of the samples you posted. You would, however, see it in a shot like this:

I have to admit I'm not super concerned with bokeh. If I had my choice,
I'd go with the Sigma for shots without bright out of focus highlights and I'd
use the Canon for those case, like above, where I want to avoid the onion
look in the highlights. I think both are fine lenses. Each has their advantage,
with the good copy of the Sigma being the overall winner.
