I think you can visit Cuba and ask them not to stamp your passport. That way you don't have a problem going back to the US.

It's funny. I have been all over the world with my US passport and nowhere in Asia or Europe have they stamped my passport. Wanted to go there from here inn Germany but flights are way too expensive. Also, I wonder how someone from the US would do currency exchange? Beautiful pictures to say the least and captures the mystique of Cuba that lies within almost everyone interested in it...
