I have to regrettably putting this lense up for sale to buy an engagement ring. I've been using it on my Canon DSLRs with an adapter. It is certainly hand-holdable for very long periods of time. Focusing is super easy and smooth. The lense is manual focus and I believe will work with Nikon bodies D90 and higher.
Glass: 9, the protective front filter does have a tiny scratch that is almost impossible to photograph. It does have some tiny dust specks between the front protective element.
Cosmetically: 8+, most of the wear is on the sliding hood, and on the bottom of the tripod collar.
Functionally: 9+, nothing is wrong. Super smooth focusing, aperture ring is snappy.
A copy in excellent condition went for over $2000 recently. SOLD
Please see my other ads for the Nikkor 180f2.8 ED, Zeiss 180mmf2.8, and Vivitar 90f2.5. I might have more items up for sale after these items are sold.
Oh how I wish I could afford this, bump for a beautiful telephoto. (Also, I believe this should work on any Nikon DSLR, not just D90 and up. You only get metering with the D200 and up however.)
My wife is sound asleep right now. I could probably slip her ring off without waking her up (very sound sleeper) and get it in the mail to you within hours. She'll be a wreck for a while, but will eventually confess that she lost the engagement ring I got her decades ago. I'll take it like a man.
(Just be sure to send the lens to my office, not home address) Deal?

Is it one carat diamond ring?
If it is, deal.
When I got my wife her engagment ring I heard it would be better to buy a .95 carat instead of 1 carat or similar because the price starts jumping at those lines. This could have been complete sales gibberish so take it with a container of salt though. Congrats!
