Wow is all I have to say. Man the coliseum is massive, know I know the rush USC gets when playing there. Anyways, weather sucked, cold damp, hazy. Kept having to clean the front elements of my lenses and my view finder kept getting fogged up from the heat from my eye......WTF! But in the end we had a blast. The game was insane LA shut out SD 53 - 0!!! Here are some of my captures.
1. San Diego during warm ups.
2. LA Temptation taking the field.
3. Getting down and dirty!
4. Stay down @#$*& !!!
5. Slam fest 2010. (with a little peek a boo)
6. Bring it on.
7. Half time show,this fan was dress up as a LFL player and he was drunk like a skunk too. (ever so slightly about to pop out)

To be perfectly honest, only one of these images really does anything for me (the pretty girls not withstanding).
1. looks underexposed to me and has a weird tone. It's also just a boring moment as can be seen by many of the faces in the background.
2. No faces and empty stands.
3. had potential but a terrible background ruins it
4. No faces.
5. Is there a ball somewhere?
6. I get what you're trying to do but it just doesn't work for me. Too much dead space. Might work better if you crop below the Chevron sign.
7. The only one I like. A nice expression on her face and clean background. It just needs to be cropped tighter.
8. Nice expression but has that straight-on camera P&S shoot look to it and I'm not really sure what's going on here. Why are they all together like that? Are they about to take a team photo or something?
Sorry if this comes across as harsh, just trying to give you my critique as honest as I can. It's this kind of feedback that makes your photos better.

A: (Looks a tad underexposed and they were warming up and it was very cold and I can't control the expression on the girls faces.)
2. No faces and empty stands.
A: (Sorry they would not allow the media behind the players benches so it was either from there or the other end of the field but would of had to reach farther. As for the Empty stand this is only a 50yrd field and it was in the coliseum which seat thousands and the LFL doesn't pull that much viewers, they had roughly 500-700 fans and they only used 3-4 sections of the lower portion on one side of the field only.)
They only used the right side portion not much viewers to fill the entire place.

A: (I see you point, should of gotten down a bit more.)

A: (Yes, unfortunately the player with her back has the ball.)

A: (Sorry I have another shot of the whole team, but this was after they on the game they all go together for a group photo with the media flashing away.)

I like women heaps but this just seems a terrible joke on both the women that participate and the guys who watch it... but then I really don't even like going to Hooters... make me feel so juvenile
I'm sure that most are serious athletes and to be put on the field in lingerie to play football speaks volumes just kinda sad IMHO...

But you have to keep in mind that these girls came to the try outs themselves not forced and they all get paid to play, it is not some sort of joke just to make money off of, 10 teams in the league, 5 east and 5 west. All the players are serious about playing and they do a great job at that. I guess you need to watch one game to understand. Plus the fans are not only guys, there are die hard girl fans as well. But i can see how some do not agree and think it is very pigish in a way, but it is like that with everything in this world.

I can't imagine how much it costs to rent out the Coliseum for this silly game/league? And when you only have a couple hundred horny guys in the stands, I hope they sell a lot of beer.

All good fun, but I was thinking the same thing.
Why not do this at a smaller venue and give the players a sense of a crowd. It must have felt a bit surreal in that huge empty stadium....
I wish I had the abs the player in photo #6 has. You are one lucky photog.
