I had one of those and the black coating started flaking off so I've since stopped using it. I'm using some cheap generic ones from ebay that are $10 and they work fine. There's no play whatsoever in the lens and it hits infinity, actually it goes a little bit beyond.
I've had mine for a couple years without any problems. I also have many other black adapters in other mounts. I no longer buy the silver adapters because there are times where the reflection can cause flare/ghosting. The cheap generic ones also tend to have a lot of variability, adapter to adapter. If you good a flat, tight fitting one, consideer yourself lucky.

I was watching that one but the auction ended without bids. I didn't get any notification that it got relisted. Anyway, I'm returning my current copy today (zoom and focus are too stiff and squeaky for my taste, plus the mirror+aperture issues...).
I am really weary of buying 2nd hand items off the sh*tBay... The descriptions are so vague, that simply looking at the link helimat posted makes me cringe...
Re ebay, that is an understandable opinion...so many people just kind of shuffle lenses, trying each for a few weeks, with the result that they have gone through a lot of hands by the time you see someone put them on ebay.
I tend to go a lot on the way the seller presents condition statements and of course the quality of images. But generally end up buying from a major seller, stores and dedicated individuals - and so far so good, lucky probably.
That links shows a fine looking lens, which sold for $450. A little edge wear on the rear flange but not bad at all. Was it the link that offended you so, or the destination of the link? *confused*
I got mine in Japan in much better condition for $100 less.
Initially, it got me confused, but I now must admit that Japanese 2nd hand goods ranking system is rather nice - A, AB, B, and C. Where A is absolute mint and C is just a step above junk (scratches, fungi, oil etc). With + and - variations as for instance AB+...
"minty" or "near mint" is quite vague and kind of widens the margins where individual perceptions of item condition clashes...
At least with ebay you can return a lens on whatever whimsical pretext you want. Plus you can get some fairly good prices, the problem is that it's typically from a user unfamiliar with photography which is often reflected in their poor descriptions. You can also return lens from reputable retailers like adorama or KEH but they tend to be priced a bit higher.
Which is another problem if I decide to sell mine - there are some "clever" people figuring it's cheaper to buy and test and then return rather than rent or just simply buy, and PayPal will refund them in 90% (if not more) of the cases...
And the vague descriptions are not helping in this case either...
@Krosavcheg: Prices in Japan just don't count. Especially in Europe (Scandinavia even more I hear) we usually pay more.
I've never bought something from ebay and (a)bused Paypal to get a refund from a seller that doesn't accept returns (didn't have to, fortunately).
I agree on the vague descriptions though; it seems that most of the time the sellers are just interested in the profit and have little knowledge of/experience with what they're selling (or how to properly take pictures from a lens...).
Yepp.
Well, all those years of pointing fingers at Japanese tourists carrying cameras..guess who had the last laugh.. hehe
It's a shame that photography never became such a common hobby in Europe, otherwise we wouldn't have to fight over Zeiss glass like gladiators..
