Thanks, but I doubt that my second choice of portraits from that trip qualifies as first rate for Nat'l Geographic.

Sunset over Kaokoveld with the D2/35. There are three minutes between the two shots, and the light changed a lot. I don't know which one I like better.

it's not a bad little lens. I have just posted a bunch of old images with the 25/2.8 in the
Nikon Zeiss thread

and there is more here

in some ways I find it similar in rendering to the 35/2, less creaminess, more punch maybe.

here is a few more samples, nothing special thoough
