Was able to go out with a friend and shoot his Fuji x100s this weekend. We also had my 5D with 35/2 (zeiss), canon 135 and a pentax medium format. Here's one of Ian shooting with his x100s
Wow, great shot and view!
The Zeiss 35/2 is such a great lens. I have the Pentax version, so can only shoot it on a crop body so far, but I am eagerly awaiting the Pentax FF body release, or will otherwise get a Sony A7r. Looks like on FF this is a great landscape lens! Do you mind me asking what camera you use it on?
regards
Chris

Thanks Chris!
That particular photo was taken with a D700. I now use a D3x.

You wouldn't say that it was "only" 12mp. Minimal resolution for the possible Pentax 35mm Dslr will be 24mp, like your D3x. More than enough it looks like!

I stick to my guns and remain super happy with 24Mpx and keep on claiming that 36+Mpx is just silly (it's me and Bjørn Rørslett) for the vast, vast, vast majority of shooters. I only moved from D700 (or rather, got a second body) because people dropped the d3x like a bad habit when the D800 was released (the ones that were more into gear than photography - not a mutually excluding interests, I know, but still). All the better for me

Sorry for the OT.
Thanks for your opinion. The thing is (continuing just a bit more on the OT): the Pentax Apsc 24mp was released and my conclusion has been to move to FF (which I was going to do anyway with four Zeiss lenses) for anything over 16mp. If the Pentax FF is not released soon, I will be going for one of the new Sony's. I'm trying to form my opinion on the optimal pixel count for FF with the Zeiss lenses. As the Sony A7 is 600,- less than the A7r, there has to be a substantial benefit to the A7r over the A7. So thanks for your opinion and shots.
What is most important for me to move to FF anyway, is the wider view with the same lens. My favorite is the 35/2, but I find the view too narrow on Apsc, and it's just not the same going for the 25mm on Apsc (which I thus sold).
B.t.w. a terrific shot with the 85!

There's something about zeiss glass that the other manufacturers cannot duplicate. My friends tell me I spend too much on zeiss when Nikon/canon glass is just as good. and that zeiss isn't worth the cost
