Bob, thanks for the tips. I have the prior version of Silver Efex and Color Efex. I will play around with some images that I think might have similar lighting to see where you were headed with the Bleach Bypass and Monday Morning. I use bleach bypass with some reduced opacity when headed into BW as well. Never had tried the Monday Morning for that, though.
Did you ever have Silver Efex 1, and if so, is 2 worth the upgrade? I like v.1, but I more often than not still use combinations of luminosity channel and channel mixer to do my conversions. Fine for portraits and simple things, but I am finding that lacking for landscapes.

I did have Silver Efex 1. I like feel of version 2, the browser is better, presets are better with improved organization and features were added. The only downer is that your version 1 presets can't 'migrate' to version 2 because of changes made in the program. I don't really have any presets so it was no matter to me.
