User222, last image is outstanding.
Johnahill, second image is epitome of understatement. I could look at the layers of that one for hours.
Jim
Cheers Jim, I'm starting to like the cold light before sunrise.
sometimes i stop in this thread while i'm bored (either waiting for images to render in Lightroom or sometimes, just flat out bored or putting off work) & gotta say, hardly ever disappointed =)

Nice pictures everyone, time is not on my side right now so I could't make individual comments.
Anyways, one from me with the 28 mm, convert to B&W (a little overboard but I like it..).
To get such a blue sky, did you use a filter of any type, or does the 85P naturally depict the blues so intensely? I've read on this board that certain lenses, typically German, transmit that vivid blue sky better than let's say most Canon lenses. Anybody know which ones are super duper in this respect?

Lieutenant - Greaat abstract shots of colorful boat(s). Ones without letters feel stronger. I am split between #2 and #3. I wonder if the white part was a bit bigger on the #3. Very nice color on the chair sculpture shot.
Bob - Great sets in the last few pages. Ones I was particularly drawn to were, a note left on a wood slot, the marching sphere, revived dawn shore, #3 of revived Norwegian coast ( 100MP vert. Gee, amazing people live there !! ), Bridge shot with 5N. 5N seems to be quite a nice camera.
Lars - Brilliant works. I am enjoying various windows you present into lives in Bangkok. I always have really enjoyed your flowers and Market shots, but recent photo exhibit / canon showroom(?) shots are quite interesting. Mixture of retro and technology.
tommyx - Nice shots of a temple. I like the contrast of monochrome temple and lush counterpoints.
johnahill- Great series from Devon. My favorites are the one with long exposure, and the night shot of raw of houses on the water. There is some magical light captured on that shot.
Ulff - Quite a few stunning sets. Really loving the wide crop streaking movement series. Great set. Beautiful tulip portraits in square crops.
user222 - Wow, that first shot of leaves on stem is great. A wall hanger imho.
twoeye - Strong abstract from rusted automobile. #1 #3 are my favs.
kop.cppua - Lovely composites of color, light, and drapery. I somehow wish there was a third composite presented together, but that is just me being a bit 'traditional'. Beautiful color, concept.
Johnny B Goode - quite a screen name. Congrats on your 35. Not bad at all as 'point and shoot'. I really like the build up of the first 5 shots.
Picture This! - Great strawberry shot. Nice comp, exposure.
frezeiss- Great boat shot. B/W works great.
HelenaN- Nice white on white shot. Love the composition. Stunning boat shot.
