erichard : I didn't use filter
Ulff : nice tulip shots
Bob, like the bridge with the boat
Lars : what a impressive lens!
Helena, very nice set, like especially b/w, nice composition and contrast
Akul, like the whole set but last one is special. Pure art!
@Helena: wow, all five pictures are absolutely fantastic! Impressive work and great use of the 35 ZE. A minor suggestion on the last one: I would dodge the top of the big tree in the foreground a bit.
Thank you very much Ulf! I appreciate the suggestion (I'm not at all sensitive about these things, so no need to worry about stepping on my toes ). I have only used RAW and Lightroom for a few months and have a lot to learn. Not sure what dodging means, and if it can be done in LR, but I'll look into it.
It simply means "making it brighter". "Dodging" is an old term from the film days were it refers to the technique of letting less light from the negative to the picture by dodging it with a piece of paper. In photoshop this tool is called dodging, too. In lightroom you can do the same thing (and even better) with the adjustment brush.
Thanks for all the comments on the tulips pictures!
Here's a second and last set of panning attempts with the ZE21, ZE35 and ZE100. I shot them all in a 2 hours time window I had in Amsterdam while waiting for an appointment.
Johnahill, thanks, good point about the sky. That's probably what has been bothering me a bit (why I said it may be over-processed). I'll re-edit it if I can find the time and energy.
Thanks twoeye! Great composition, textures and color tones in yours.
Luka, excellent close ups! I love the first two
Xtobolic, first B&W is very nice..
Z, excellent mood in you #1 picture
Helenan, great B&W of a lovely landscape
Ulff, I like your third shot best
Johnahill, excellent, all of them! I really like the compressed landscape shots
Lars, excellent closeup as usual. A little OOT, I see your street work has similar style to Charles in the Leica M images thread..Just a coincidence I guess.
