Bob, quite difference between your 50MP and 100MP photos; did you use same processing, the last batches of 100MP images have been very well web sharpened but these were much more dull?
I think a bit of processing difference but mostly a difference in the day. The recent set this morning was early and very gray/overcast and I think that had a lot to do with it.

Thanks Samuli
I would probably us the lens close-up quite often but would still like good infinity/distance when needed, but it sounds like this lens would cope quite well.
You won't get disappointed from optical performance, as long as you mitigate the mechanical vignetting. It's not optimized/limited to close/makro shooting even lens name includes work "Makro".

As for the focus throw, i'd probably end up using liveview for the distant stuff so I hope that would help.
Not really. For distang subjects in 50m/150feet away it takes 2-3x time compared to 1.4/85 to get the best focus. Slowness is just because it's so difficult to turn small enough increments/accurately. If using optical viewfinder this kind of accuracy is not possible, so it's much faster focus since you don't have to care (since you anyway can't see where the exact plane of focus is).
Lars - Stunning flower shots both from 100MP and 1.4/35.
Bob - Great set with 50MP. I really like them all, so I am not picking a favorite.
Lieutenant - Very theatrical shot of lit facade. Stark drama. I like it.
Samuli - Gorgeous shots as always. Those evergreen trees are so beautiful. So tall and proud. I like the composition of #1, but also am drawn to the lighting of #2.
Edward, Ulff, Bob, Roduluvan, Dubaiphil,LZ, Hugo, Siddhu, Samuli, Lars, johnahill, akul: really, really nice shots!
[Sorry if I forgot a good photo from earlier pages. Also, I usually mention a bit more of the shots I like but I am sorry for being short this time!)
kururu: That portrait is incredible! Stunning! I have the 100/2 CY Planar and now I have redo all my research on 100P v/s 100MP. Aaargh!

Question for y'all, do the photos in this set look underexposed? I know some of the stuff has a loss of detail b/c of the harsh 3pm lighting but a friend of mine says all the photos look dark and dull like mush (i have a new but uncalibrated Dell U2412) It looks great on mine, if you could tell me how it is and if you are calibrated that would be great!
Some great shots on the last pages. And I especially like the ones from:
Ulff - fantastic shots of the old houses
dubaiphil - great portraits
Bob - a lot of excellent shots with your new camera
Rodluvan - very nice street shots
Hugo - excellent as usual, especially the old tree
Siddhu - really like the first jeep shot
kururu - a lovely shot of the young girl
TSY87 - very nice Lady Antebellum concert
akul - excellent, especially the last tree shot
Lieutenant Z - many great shots
abhijeeth - very good landscape shot

Looks slightly underexposed to me, but it's difficult to judge as the contrasts are a bit wonky; an underexposed photo can at the same time have several blown bits.
I really love the overall low contrast and high microcontrast in this shot and several previous ones as well. I personally would have ruined the shot by adding too much contrast. Great work as usual

Johnahill, great jag shots. I find the 35f2 was the best lens for car photography. Lots of punch! I sold mine for a contax 35 1.4. Looking forward to seeing if I can get the same results from the contax otherwise I might have to rebuy...
