Jim, that second picture is awesome...!!!

R Young, I thought that the head of the horse in the second picture was coming out of my screen...

Thanks every one. Yes, the above pic was shot with the new 35/1.4 ZE. I've posted some photos before in a separate thread with the new lens. I've some new material that I'll post in the next few days here. After having it used for some time (and having used the 35/2 ZE), I prefer the 35/1.4 ZE. The bokeh, colors and the micro contrast are truly outstanding.

Great shots guys!

I finally had the chance to take my 35/1.4 ZE out again. It's been many many weeks.
As I said before: I don't have any regrets selling the 35/2 because of it. Love it.

2 quick examples:

Do you guys find the ZE35/1.4 easier to focus than the ZE35/2 (with the EG-S screen)?

I read some people think the 1.4 is easier to focus, but to me it's about the same as the f2 (which is a good thing)

Ajay C,
Can't believe you are selling it. You sure Leica will be better? From what I see, Leica certainly has nice optical design, too good that without certain character that I don't see this breathtaking rendering

Jochenb, Like the first one. the more I see this 35mm, the more I like it. It is on the top of my list.

Jim,
Both wonderful: color, composition, bokeh.
Check your first one, the top branch. I find it is very hard to correct strong CA like this. This is definitely the achilles heel of 100MP.

@Jochenb - Love the lighting in the 1st shot. The second is lovely also.

They both make me think of shots I've seen taken with the M9 and Summilux.

I've been really enjoying my 35 f1.4 and will be posting up shots this weekend. Big backlog of editing to do!

Jim, Ajay, super stuff!
Donuss, your last shot is simply breathtaking!
And yes, dergiman, I find the 35 f:1.4 easier to focus than any other ZE I have owned. A combination of f:1.4, focal length and throw make it really easy. I have lent it to other FM members who all had the same experience. I will take it out this week-end.

Thorsten - Welcome to the thread. Nice flower shots
R.Young - Beautiful series of horse shots
Ajay - When I see shot like that, my jaw drops. 35 1.4 is in a totally different league. It's crisp clear and clean rendition is just something else. With 35 2, blurred area would get more painting like wihch is nice but I am reminded of the lens. Something about the oof rendition of 1.4, make it feel like there is absolutely no glass involved. I feel like I am just there. Like Philippe says, super stuff !
Jim - Beautiful set. #2 is quite magical
Jochenb- Yet another superb shots from 35 1.4 . Sleeping cat feels like he/she is right there beyond my reach. Great stuff.
Donat - Great to see your work again !! And with ZF35/1.4 ! Beautiful closeup. B/W shot really works well on that shot. Classic beauty. Last shot is amazing.
