Very nice shot, Juan!!! Though I cannot say that it is improved by the black frame IMHO. But don't take this as a negative, I really like the shot.
Thank you very much for your comment philber, I will remove the frame, I've tried and I like more ...
Greetings

Lars: Love that flower shot! WB is spot on! And also another vote for the last shot from your pharmacy series.
akul: thanks. and the 2nd shot is gorgeous! You have conveyed the dense-ness of the forest but without making the image look too busy/overwhelming. This is always a challenge to pull off and I think that this is quite a good example for an image that will benefit from *not* doing a low radius sharpening. [except for the tree trunks]. And the 35/2 characteristics may also help in this regard.
Samuli:First shot is awesome! Beautiful detail. And you've tamed the exposure very well, in particular the sunlight falling on the leaves and also the shadow areas on the tree trunk. The highlight value is just right IMHO, not so low that it becomes dull or muddy but not too bright either. I kept staring at the larger sized link for a good 3-5 minutes. You don't need a watermark at the lower left, this type of image already has your signature style in it
carsten: If not for the requirements of using the 200VR and lugging around a tripod, I may have suggested more "curtain of sharpness" type of projects/images :-)
Philippe: I had to go several pages back to the time when I was in Oly NP to discover some of your good shots that I've missed. Looking forward to seeing more shots with the 35 1.4 from you
Lars, as usual, excellent images. Last upload is simply terrific.
juan_amores, fine composition.
akul, great details, colors on 2nd and 3rd.
kevphoto, lovely colors.
Samuli, clarity and colors of your every upload are just stunning.

Hehe, I have this on my agenda, but I have a little money which I will use to buy a Leica 180mm f/2 Summicron-R. I have always wondered about this lens on my D3, and will compare it to the 200/2 VR and sell the one I like less. Once that is done, the block will be lifted and I will shoot more veils of sharpness!
If anyone knows of a 180 Cron for sale in Europe, I am all ears!
- Juan, imageshack really takes the edge off from your photos, it looks poorly sharpened and contrast on small details is non-existent, I'm pretty sure when properly processed this image would shine
- Lars, nice white/yellowish flowers
- prosep, ZE21 photo was nice

Since feeling like I have come to an end on my Tiergarten series, I have been stuck, not really knowing in what direction to go next. I could re-visit old projects and try to get some closure there, I could walk around and look for inspiration, I could sit at the computer and do some research, I could just read some photo books, and so on. I think today I will go out with the D3 and 100 MP and see what comes. I feel the urge to do some kind of detail work.
I have quite similar problem due to some knee & back issues not allowing me to hike this summer = almost all the stuff I do normally is out of the question. On Saturday I ran out of ideas - I took my bicycle, packed 5DmkII & ZE85 to small Domke shoulderbag and drove around the city (doing exercise at same time ) and even without any planning I found some things to shoot, but it felt really strange since I typically have some plan what I want to shoot at each location.
I just recently got the ZE 21mm and I'm totally pleased with it. I sold my 16-35L (mkI) and my 15mm fisheye to fund it. I don't regret this decision at all.

When that happens to me, Carsten, and I have been through a few of these phases, I take the lens I have not used in the longest time, mount it, and go out with nothing but that. It usually works for me.
As it happens, just doing this reminded me how long it had been since last shooting my NEX, and, in particular, my Zeiss ZM 50mm f:2.0, though I love this lens. So that will be my companion this week. In any case, I really need to improve my almost non-existent skills with short teles, so it is a useful assignment as well.
Samuli, Philber, Dalmas, Lars, Carsten, abhijeeth, prosep, Thank you so much for your kind words.
Samuli - You are absolutely right about the polarizer. I have never used them on zeiss up to this point. I think it is about time to expand a little. I see the benefit of their use clearly from your shots, and I like shooting trees and leaves. Beauty and clarity I see in your shots are truly inspirational. Thanks again for your tip.
Beautiful capture of light on the most recent shot with 85. It looks very crisp and gives me an impression of large DOF. Where was your focus point ? I sort of assume the first doorway on the left?
Carsten - As my practice, I have been imposing myself to shoot at least one shot a day for a while now reaching about 2 years. I take my camera in my work bag, and shoot around before work, or after. Although I have missed a few days when it feels really dried out, from time to time, I've also found some 'lemon to make a lemonade' as Philber puts it. Being surrounded by many very good fellow photographers in this forum, I get inspired to keep my practice going. Through the practice, I found few project I want to focus on for some time. I am pretty certain you will find new project in no time. Looking forward to see your works.
juan - nice boat shot ! I like the worn texture.
Lars - Beautiful flower. - ps if they were not fish, what are they. Large yellow peppers ??
prosep - Second shot is beautiful.
Ajay - nice color and beautiful boke
Abram G - Congrats on your 21. Wonderful texture on both shots.
Philippe and Luka, I did go out with my D3 and 100 MP and walk around yesterday, getting some neat shots, in a direction which is new for me. I will post a few over in the Zeiss thread later today. I am not sure if I will continue with this as a project, but it was fun to do something different for a day.
