I will try that. But the vignetting you see here is achieved through post processing in Lightroom. But since you mention it wouldn't shooting at high ISO possibly cause the same effect from noise? I've shot my Zeiss 21 at ISO 3200 and beyond and it always registers the right lens.

Very nice set Bob. Remember me?, I'm the one that sold you the ZE 35/2,
But when I see the use you make of it, then I'm happy for it
I like the vignetting and whatever else you postprocess your pics with. What else did you do to them?, they are very inspiring.
Thanks Ariel70 and yes I do remember you. I have a couple of grunge presets I developed in Lightroom. The one I used here pumps up the recovery, fill light and blacks. It also adds a good deal of vibrance but dials back the saturation quite a bit. I usually add some saturation back in and give it more grunge with the clarity slider. It also adds a general curve adjustment for higher contrast and a split toning. This is why I love presets in Lightroom. One click and done!
I still can't find out why my exif data is showing the Canon 16-35/2.8L II rather than the Zeiss 21 Distagon in my Dachau series. Could it be something on the CF card? I format my cards after unloading and this was a formatted card before I entered Dachau. Any suggestions?
I'll try that but it is only this batch of images that has this effect. I have a standard import set up and never had this problem before. I appreciate the thoughts . . .

I believe the lens data/type is written by your camera and cannot be changed at all by LR.
