I still have that "new" Pentax 67 medium format that I got, but it's kind of difficult to get inspired when three rolls of the results are sitting undeveloped in my refrigerator right now
See, you should listen more to me and let yourself be inspired by the shooting itself, rather than the results I have way more than 3 undeveloped films sitting around.

Don't know, when I look at the photo, my eyes doesn't find a clear plane of sharpness, excpept around the lower part of the pullower arms (but not the camera). Maybe the face around the eyes is not so sharp, and therefore this influences the aspect of the eyes?
But again, it is just a small representation and if you say they are sharp, they probably are :-)

Erm, the lack of sharpness? I have to agree with Bernhard, it looks like the focus is on the plane going through his right thumb and the front of the rim of the hat.

I don't have undeveloped films, but some dishes that are sitting around, unwashed, reminding me that I was sitting around too much in front of Photoshop Lightroom tonight, instead of doing something useful in the household.
Photographic representation of mess powered by Carl Zeiss Planar 85mm @ f2,8. Sometimes less sharp would be less shameful :-)

..well, except that I'm really not. The novelty of using a camera that makes a pro DSLR look like a tiny compact can take me only so far. I'm not going to stay interested for very long without seeing the images. Sure, the process is enjoyable but I don't climb through bushes, lie on a muddy ground, climb to dangerous places (relatively speaking) just for the fun of it. I do it to get a composition just the way I want it. So I am definitely result oriented.
Hey thanks Luka. He's a little ham and seems to love getting his pic taken.
I gotta say to you and ALL on this thread... this thread is an incredible inspiration and likely the most impressive photo thread I've ever stumbled across. The photographic talent around here is stunning. I could honestly comment positively on almost every single post, but not only is it repetitive it's also near-impossible! To all of you, keep 'em coming and MANY MANY KUDOS!!
alba63 - I like the #1. Leaves on water gives additional sense of depth with focusing plane.
Bobu - The portrait on grass is striking. Lighting is very effective with the background and hair.
Diploneis - Strong portrait shot, or 'shoot out' His eyes makes the shot.
Denoir - Beautiful color on the first set. Texture and color of #3 really caught my eyes. #1 of the second set (B/W) is stunning. Your bad day will still be a real good day to my eyes
dj - That is a great portrait with the big eyes and fuzzy hair !
I agree with dj, this thread is an amazing source of inspiration.
Bernie, excellent pictures!
Philippe, love your shots
Bob, really nice shots.
Martynas, great portrait. Love it!
Luka, I am really liking the B&W versions of your shots. Interesting with landscapes where there can be mixed WB.
Dj Dunzie, +2 Awesome portrait!
I know this is somewhat off topic and am sure my manual has it in it but what setting do you guys use for the longer exposures (ie. 4 sec, 30 sec)? I tried it in TV mode on my 5DMKII this weekend in Prague but it would not allow me. I ended up using Bulb instead but think I will need a cable release in order to hold the shutter open. I was under the impression you could use the 2 sec delay on a tripod and use TV set to a longer time count but I guess I was wrong unless I am overthinking this somehow?

TV mode should allow exposures up to 30sec, any longer and you'll need a cable release and can only use bulb mode.

That's what I thought but for some reason my camera would only allow me to go to 1/30sec with my ZE 21. Will check my camera today to see if maybe I have something misconfigured. Thanks for the reply.

The only reason I can think of why your camera wouldn't let you go further than 1/30 is that it can't step down the aperture any further. Could it be related to ISO and some auto-iso settings?
Edit: What I meant was that maybe you have set some shutter speed limit for your auto-iso that comes into play here.
Otherwise I would suggest using manual mode for this.
