There is a striking paucity of images from the Distagon T* 18mm f/3.5. I was considering this lens and am wondering why it is so "underrepresented".

I was wondering the same thing. What is the deal with the Zeiss 18mm? I rarely have seen any sample pics with that lens.... Is it a poor performer?

There was one user who made fantastic use of it but he or she hasn't posted with that lens in a while.

It is a very similar performer to the ZF 25 2.8. Needs to be stopped down considerably (f/8) to have sharp corners. Sharpness never equals the 14-24 anywhere but the micro contrast is typical Zeiss. Used to be a Donuss that showed very good examples of the ZF 18.

I love the creamy glow in # 3 and 4. Great stuff.

Gary, nice shot. Maybe some PP softening, such as Imagenomic Portraiture. The 50MP and 100MP is blisteringly honest, but adapt easily to PP.
