Well I don't know if I'd say I have posted "supersharp" shots on here, but I'm starting to get to grips with my 35/2.
I use a third party focussing screen, which makes things in my crop sensor viewfinder a lot easier. Also, my green dot focus confirmation in the VF is pretty spot on, but I hear this varies from camera to camera.
Anyway, I'm getting more keepers with a MF 35/2 than with an AF Nikon 24mm f1.4 I tried yesterday - on AF!
Thanks Philippe, AhamB, Ryan, and Charles! You are too kind!
I need to shoot more with my new 21 to get a better feeling about the flare handling.
I was surprised by how it does the large double corona/arc type flare in the corners whereas my 14-24G and TS-E 17 control the flare so that it shows up as either a thin streak or a small circle of flare. I need to reread Diglloyd's reviews of the 21 and 14-24G but I think he mentioned this. Of course as a UWA lens it seems to flare more often than my 35's, 50's and 100mm zeiss lenses but that is expected.
The ZE 21 is a great lens and I can't wait for the fall season to get some clouds in the sky for it.
@Philippe,
I agree with Joakim in that I like the first portrait better in that provides more context about the person. I wish the shot had a little more DOF to include the bird in front of the street musician. I like the bird resting on him while he is playing. I would have liked to see a little more of the street organ as it took me awhile to see what he was doing, turning the crank on the organ. It is also very difficult lighting as he is in the shadow of the umbrella and the background is harsh sunlight is some areas. I would crop a little off the left to eliminate some of the bright distracting light on the left side of the portrait which will focus the viewer more on to his face more. There is a lot of things to get into this shot, the organ, the musician, the birds, the umbrella, etc. so I was picturing how this shot would have looked with a CZ 35/1.4 in maybe landscape mode standing slightly more to the left so you would get more of the street organ in the shot.
I really like the shot and the interesting subject. Too bad there wasn't more sunlight hitting his face to provide more contrast and pop to his face.
@Ryan,
The colors,tones,and sharpness look great from the ZM glass on the M8.
There should be a lot of landscape opportunities in the Napa area shooting at various wineries. I haven't been up there for a long time so I don't have any specific spots to mention. In sept the leaves haven't turned color yet unfortunately. Even though the water falls wll not have much flow in Sept, Yosemite and Mono Lake are still beautiful areas to photograph. Also Big Sur and Carmel area, Pt. Lobos are nice too.
Feel free to send me a PM and I will be happy to answer any of your questions about the area.
Great shots everyone and I like all the interior shots.
This is the post-Jesuit Elevation of the Holy Cross church of in Brzeg,60 km to the south-east from Wrocław in Lower Silesia region in Poland.From the outside it looks grey and rather ugly,but the interior suprisingly shines.Here are some links on the net with the address and some info -sorry it is in Polish but I can translate:

I like the old mossy tree very much Wayne.
Thanks Peire! I was looking for better pop/detail on the tree but the light on it was kind of flat.
Nice flower macros! I like the spiky ball one the best, very nice.
Also, great church interior shots. That church looks similar to one Boris photographed awhile back.
Can't remember the name of the church he said it was.
Thanks Wayne.This white spiky ball is one of the strangest flowers I've ever seen/photographed.It grows in my home city's botanical garden but I haven't noticed it before.It is buttonbush in English,but I do not know why such a translation because it's latin/greek name Cephalanthus occidentalis should rather be translated as Cephal - head anthus-flower occidentalis-western.
You folks are crazy! Been five days short on time and see tons of awesome pictures since then. Please excuse, that I do not comment on them in detail, I would be completely overcharged.
We spoke about the gentle rendering of ZF85 some days ago and I just dropped in to show a recent one with it.
