Sorry for the off topic but is there any loss in zeiss microcontrast and rendering when you upload images into flickr? Is this forum better in this regard? The zeiss images i have found in flickr do not have the pop i see here.
Thank you
You can even use Photobucket, as long as you set the advanced option to disable resizing. There is a maximum file size, but it doesn't touch your images (no resizing or recompression) as long as you stay under the limit.
(I advised against Photobucket before, when I didn't know about this option yet...)
Well i like your images but there is a little bit of loss, althoug not too much. The fact is that the images posted here have so much pop... maybe is just me.
Thank you Stanicmi
Charles: The landscape forum shots (I've posted them earlier in this thread) was sort of a test. I wanted to see the opinion of people who - unlike us in this thread - are not obsessed with Zeiss rendering. It worked pretty well although I was found out at one point with someone asking if "German glass" was used.
Thank you very much for the warm welcome. Apology for posting over-sized images. I felt like I was screaming in a quiet garden. I will size images more appropriately from now on. Also, please pardon my pp skills. One of the many thing I learned from this board was the shapening technique for smaller sized images ( I think from Denoir, Makten, Anden, Samuli' posts to name a few). Nevertheless, I will keep trying to improve on this end.

I like the #4,5,6. Especially like the #6. Boke(h) may be on the busy side, but there is something about the picture I am drawn to.
These were taken back in April when I first got ZF21. Also on D700. Hopefully these are more appropriate sizes. ( 1240 width)

This is toally off the topic, but my first name is also Luka with 'k' like Denoir's , which I find is sort of rare. No I am not from Scandinavian origin, but I'd keep it akul to avoid confusion.

Oops, it still seems a bit too wide. Sorry !! What do you all use for posting, in terms of sizes ??
Nice shots, Akul! BTW, you do know that "akul" is hardly a meaningless word to some, don't you? As for me, I am not going anywhere close to the sea if your presence there is reported (hint, hint!)

Martynas : Awsome shots! My favorites are the last one with the sunflower and the one before that with the butterfly.
Akul: Lovely light in your shots and really good use of the 21.
As for image size, i typically post 1024 px horizontal for landscape pics and 920 px vertical for portrait. I'm thinking about increasing it to 1200px or 1440px horizontal as I think most people in this thread have monitors with at least 1600x1200 resolution. When it comes to images bigger is better.

One more Luka in this thread is always welcome. Lukas of the world unite!
