Really nice shots, Luka. My favourites are #2 and #3.
Nice shots, Peire, with the 21 on the crop body! Always an interesting comparison.
I really like your set Samuli Your second shot with f8 looks fine. Maybe the first shot with f/8 is marginally underexposed, and seeming somewhat flatter?
AhamB, really nice examples of the Contax 85/1.4. I find the ZE 85/1.4, does not quite match the Contax, but still is an excellent portrait lens.
Sangee, for portraits and fashion, will depend if you are using natural lighting or studio lighting, or goes without saying needing AF. With natural lighting, the depth of colour and rendering, with the 100MP and 50MP is amazing. Bokeh can be tricky.
One of my favourite Nikkor lenses with film for portraits was the 105mm/macro. Knowing this I would suggest the 100MP first. This is not to take away from the brilliant 50MP.

Samuli, I sued the butterflies in your pics as a WB reference. These are common in France, and I used to collect them, so I know exactly what colour they should be...
Philber,
When you sued the butterflies what was the payout.Sorry i just had to.

Speaking of the 85/1.4 - there were many excellent shots early in this thread taken with it, but I have not seen many of them lately. Just one or two now and then. Have people stopped using it?
Beautiful cat Charles. And interesting shots - I would say that the colors are very similar as is the overall rendering style. The 5DII footage has much less noise and seems to have a bit more micro contrast (look for instance at the fur above the closest eye) but overall I'm surprised at the similarity.
The cat is 18y/o. The 5DII has less noise but I did have to sharpen in stages, typical of yours and Samuli's work flow. The M9 had much less sharpening, and was virtually straight out the camera.
Thanks Luka......this thread now has me thinking about trading 'up' my 50 Planar for an MP.....I don't use 1.4 enough as I think it is way too 'soft' for what I end up using it for. Every useable shot I get from the Planar is stopped down to at least f/2

I think the ZE35 belongs on your list, LS. The gap between 21 and 50 is significant, and the 35 is a great lens!
+1 - also 50MP and 100MP are optically very similar
If we graphically compare these two, it should be obvious which 3 lens combo is more versatile and better compromise:
