Gary, Shilo looks to be in very good health for her age. My oldest cat lived to be 21, had another two in the 18 and 16 year old before they passed. Long life to Shilo!
These are not actually all that great a shot by traditional photography standards but I still like them as series; a fun "action-pose". And he was about the best cat I ever knew. Not mine but lived in the rural neighborhood I lived in a few years ago and was a relentless rodent killer. Good kitty. He enjoyed his job.
Fun story. I put together a "live mouse trap" joke email and sent it around to some friends. (gist was a friend suggested I get a "live trap" and I said I have one!) So a few weeks later I get this email from a guy who lived about a mile away and it said, "Thats my cat! " The email had a bunch of forwards and it eventually ended up in his mailbox. Six degrees of cat separation!
