I think the comments about the survey being influenced by social networking media is spot on.... I know of at least one on that list who used his Facebook and Blog to get folks to vote for him time and time again. I think he even commented that he was doing it on purpose to mess with the results.
Glad to see Chase Jarvis. That dood does so much for the good of photography.
No surprise to see the so cal clique show up.
I honestly expect to see Hoffer on one of these best of or most influential lists in the very near future....the shape of things to come.
EDIT: I missed David Hobby....it's very cool that shares his wealth of knowledge w/ the world.

Indeed, I don't find anything in his work that floors me like some others, but the way he(and McNally to an extent) give back to the community of photographers is outstanding and he deserves every bit of accolade he gets.

I was surprised Ashton Kutcher didn't win. I love his photography and he greatly influenced my work in the last decade.
So is Jasmine Star whose award winning images and creative photography is something for everyone to aspire to.

and the list is about INFLUENTIAL photographers, people. if you can influence enough people to vote for you, you too can be on the list next time around. that's how i made the list this decade.
