so excited i just bought the contax 45 and 90!
I know there are the basic ways to check the lens if it is good; BUT I HAVE NEVER DONE A MANUAL LENS
is there any tips or things to look out for when checking it?
Masberg - Congrats on the 45 & 90 but you posted on the wrong thread. Yours are from the rangefinder style line of Contax G; whereas, this thread is meant for the SLR line of N lens -- two different product lines from Contax. If you are mounting the lens on A7/R, you may want to check and post your questions on the A7 or Nex images threads instead. Good luck...
@Kokusai:
I'm interested in adapters for Contax N on the nex/a7(r) platform. I've read some negative feedback on the Kipon adapter you are using.
Would you please comment on it? When did you buy it (just to get a feel if it is a revised version)?
Thank you

Hi - So far, the Kipon adapter has been working very well with the A7. The adapter mounts securely to the camera without any issues and the electronic aperture control works as advertised with all my N lenses (85, 17-35, 24-85, 70-200). So, ZERO issues so far. I posted a link on the last post on the previous page where I got mine from. Hope it helps...
