I say nothing compares to the Contax 85/1.2 if you are lucky to focus it properly... If not, then 85N with its accurate and pretty fast autofocus (faster than 85L anyway) easily beats it, and it also has less CA wide open.
Those are the best Contax N 70-200 images I have seen so far. You must have a good copy. If mine had looked that good, I would not have sold the lens. (Hmmmm.....maybe it was me )
Thanks! I guess my copy of the 70-200N is brilliant, that's why I could never understand why they are regarded with less respect than 24-85. It beats Canon 70-200/4 IS and Contax 80-200/4 for example. Here is another example - what not to like about it, except for the bright green thingy in the back? http://s005.radikal.ru/i211/1101/07/de27961ebf73.jpg

Ataboy,
I have always been on the fence about N70-200 and EF70-200IS. I chose the latter since the IS provides more handheld keepers. Can you elaborate more on why the N is better - more DoF, better bokeh, etc? I prefer the much smaller footprint of the N but am wary that 100-200mm range is easily ruined by handshakes.
