Indeed. There are also some lovely stands of Aspens outside of Santa Fe -- the southern end of the Rockies, in the Santa Fe National Forest and Pecos. They should start turning around the beginning of October. I now just have to see if I can carve out some time then.
To say that I am pleased with my new 70-200N would be an understatement. I promptly found a 50N for sale after my new experience with this 70-200... One of my first test shots with it yesterday, wide open at about 180mm:
