Krosavcheg, if u can get the MMJ for much cheaper i would just go that route. I do like the Rollei for its unique triangular bokeh. the CY is probably easier to adapt as well, i had some issues with mines trying to get an adapter that worked properly. But could be just the copy I got
Anden: I saw the photos of your kid.. Say no more - of course family gets the priority! Glad you find occasional time to shoot at any rate.. Triangular bokeh can be both depending on what one is shooting. Abstract is great, but it can draw away attention from a subject easily...
Rebel: I got the CY adaptor from Big_IS which seems to work a treat. Previous ones I ordered gave a lot of LoCA and were problematic on 100-300/4.5-5.6 and resulted in mirror hangs on 35-70/3.4. Now it's pretty much sorted. I think I am going to place an order for a bunch..
A very good question. Can be due to it letting in light between lense and adaptor, or uneven mount.
On the brighter side, looks like 35/1.4 MM will be delivered in few days... fingers crossed..
Thank you guys: It's the CY version. Grip is on my 5D for the sake of the extra power, plus I find it convenient to shoot in portrait mode without fiddling to find the trigger..
The in focus sharpness to blur transition is so ridiculously good here. You're really showcasing the effect nicely. Love the texture on all these old objects.
