Since the Smirnoff lawyers forced the shutdown of the website blog which describes the "Bros. Icing Bros" phenomenon, I will have to explain. You can see videos on Youtube.
So anytime your buddy presents you with a bottle of Smirnoff ice saying "You have been Iced", if you don't have a bottle on you, then you have to get down on one knee and chug the bottle. The joke here is that it is a terrible tasting drink, so it is like you are punking your buddy. People are doing all over the place in airports, golf courses, sneak

I have to check it out. It sounds fun. It is actually a quite terrible drink!

Another great portrait Anden!

Here's one that really show's what this lens can do in low light with a 5DII. It was the day after my daughters second birthday - and she just had to have some more candles and cake

Paul, very nice shot of you daughter, the birthday girl.

tehRebel, I like the 3-d ness of the 2nd shot as the girl blowing bubbles stands out from the foreground boy and the background ladies.

Ok, I hope to post some shots soon but haven't had time to process any shots.

But, I would like to ask the experts here which C/Y to EOS adapter are you using for this 35/1.4 lens?
I need to do some more testing but it doesn't seem like I am not getting proper infinity focus with the adapter which came with the copy of the lens I bought. I think the adapter is maybe too thick.

Thanks Wayne. I have a Kindai adapter on my Rollei version, which works perfectly at infinity on my Kodak SLR/c. I can't get true infinity focus on my 5DII though because it hits the mirror. I've adjusted the lens (as mentioned in previous posts here) so it doesn't hit at infinity, but the farthest focus in now ~40ft. Maybe your lens has been "adjusted" as well?

I use a no name for my Rollei. I get infinity and no hang.
For the CY I use a 2 year old HappypageHK. I get infinity.
The Gifts Hunter adapter I got was slightly too thin so the mod I did to the CY is not enough with this adapter. It hangs the mirror on my 5DII.

Thanks Paul and Andreas for the adapter info.
I just ordered a new C/Y-EOS chipped adapter from HappyPageHK.
Hopefully I will get infinity focus with no play in the adapter-camera-lens connection.

I think I got the same adapter and asked before I bought it to ensure that it would be thin enough for infinity focus. When I first received it, I didn't even get close to infinity focus, more like 30-50 ft. But, I adjusted the screws on the barrel under the rubber grip and managed to get infinity focus ever so close to mirror hang on my 5D. But, I have infinity focus and no mirror hang.

Hey guys! Ive been watching this thread and cant help to love this lens. I am searching for one to buy on ebay.

I have a question for Anden...can you please share your PP work on your portraits? Do you use any special sharpening methods? I just love the natural look of all of your photos!

Andreas has a great eye for framing and subject positioning. The 35/1.4 takes care of the rest...
