Naa... It's your money, spend it on what you want to! I'd imagine the new lens will be much more convenient to use. I will be getting one for sure and if it is the equal of my C/Y then and ONLY then would I consider selling the C/Y. I might just keep them both though considering what I have in the C/Y...

I heard a figure of 25% more than the Z* 35 f:2.0. If that is true, I will be pleasantly surprised...

May I join? Just took delivery of this beautiful lens. Edit: It's the C/Y wide open on a 5D2.

Wow, look at the moire on his suit sleeve. Due to jpg compression, or is it just a really cool suit?

Anden, Both pictures are great. Your Granpa looks like a character.

Andreas,
Great portrait of grandpa!
Too funny!
What's next?Maybe a portrait of grandpa chugging a bottle of Smirnoff Ice on one knee like he just got "Iced"!
Not sure if that phenomenon has reached Sweden.

Thanks guys!
The moire is due to the compression.
He sure is a character. He is actually my wifes grandpa.

Wayne, when I lived in London a couple of years ago Smirnoff Ice was really big. I have not had it since.

Since the Smirnoff lawyers forced the shutdown of the website blog which describes the "Bros. Icing Bros" phenomenon, I will have to explain. You can see videos on Youtube.
So anytime your buddy presents you with a bottle of Smirnoff ice saying "You have been Iced", if you don't have a bottle on you, then you have to get down on one knee and chug the bottle. The joke here is that it is a terrible tasting drink, so it is like you are punking your buddy. People are doing all over the place in airports, golf courses, sneak attacks.
