Do you have an exact shutter count for the 20Ds?

Thanks!

Regarding the exact shutter count, I do not know how to get this information. The running count that I see has been disrupted by CF card swops between the two cameras. I do recall reading somewhere that there is some software that can be used to get the exact count, but I do not have it.

In the descriptions, I have given my honest guess based on the total use of these two cameras which is very limited. I am a P&S photographer that used this setup for 3 or 4 professional gigs each year, that's it.

Thanks,

Bryan

Well, for the shutter count of 20D, here's one:

http://zecoj.com/2007/01/31/canon-eos-20d-shutter-count/

But this is off. The more mileage you have, the more you are off.

A rough estimation would be,
Software 100, actual 100
Software 1000, actual 1100
Software 5000, actual 6500
Software 7500, actual 11000
Software 20000, actual 40000

But it gives some impressions about what you have on the camera. BTW, a 30D doesn't qualify for this method and it will always show something ~65535.

Thanks for the info. Sadly the software listed does not work with my Mac.

However, having purchased these bodies a little over two years ago, I added up the total images taken then added another 50% for safety margin to develop a conservative estimate.
