I love my Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens and I also hate how heavy/big it is. I've tried the Nikon AF 20mm f/2.8, but was really disappointed by how soft it was on my D700.

I see that Voigtlander has the following MF lens:

Has anyone tried it on an FX (ala D700) body - or even a Canon full frame camera? If so, I would love to hear your feedback.

I used mine on the Nikon D700 and love it for what it does and for how much I paid for it. The fact that I now have a slightly smaller camera+lens combo to tote around make it a very worthwhile lens for me.

I love mine on the D700...my copy is pretty sharp. Perhaps you could send it in for calibration.
