I just bought a Rokinon 85mm f1.4 for $250, all manual focus, but for $250 and a f1.4 lense, I think it's a steal.

All this at 1/3 of the price I would have to pay for similar performance 3 years ago, and then some of it was not available at all.

I buy mostly new gear or, if out of production, used gear as well, from big on-line retailers such as Adorama. Therefore, if anything, there is always a premium attached to the price. However, last year I got a near-new 300 f/4L non-IS on the B&S board for $600 which I thought was an excellent price compared to what I used to pay for them in the past (KEH). I haven't even tried to whittle the asking price down either....the man asked $600 for it and I just sent him the money.

Brand new Canon 1D MK II with a brand new 200 f1.8 - packaged for $4,000.00 - when the MK II first came out. Immediately sold the lens and with the profits, paid off the MK II.
I met my wife for free. So far, I has been a great deal, and I have had her body longer than any of my camera ones, and it still looks and handles the same as when I met her. Her auto focus is even better than when we first got married, but I am haven't decided if that is a good thing or not. Thank god for Japanese quality control!
p.s. If anyone has a link to a manual for a Model S43, Itoman, Okinawa woman, I would appreciate it.
