If you notice the wrist band she is wearing, It is used by the baby to identify her as the "mother" it is not removable and is cut off at the end of the wekend. It also has sensors that record diaper changing, feeding, burping, and even an impact sensor!
Steve,
I hope they develop sensors that record the things that really matter to a young baby, stimulation, interaction with a parent and love from a parent.
My daughters(13) room spotless and she is at me to keep my place tidier, my son (10) room is another matter, Lego, cars, and other toys all over the place.

My sister had on her door, "a clean room is the sign of a sick mind".
When i got married, my only stipulation was i wanted to keep my cleaning lady (elderly black lady who/whom i actually put her son thru community college). My wife put up a fight, but i pay for it out of my own money, so no arguments there.
I have fathered 5 and NOT ONE I gave the chance to have their room like that. I simply don't allow it to happen. Avoiding hearing my voice, they make sure everything is in order.
They all on their own now (I miss them like hell) and anybody can step in their house anytime without they have to be ashamed of anything. (My wife say that her biggest baby is still in the house. Me? )
Now they all are grateful that we were able to be on their backs all those years.
Let me put emphasis on "BE ABLE", because not everybody can be in such position and therefor not be judged.
I wasn't a teenager too long ago... when I lived at my parents' (and when my husband is deployed) that is pretty much what my room/house looked like!!! Mine wasn't as much clothes as just stuff. I had lots of things broken because someone would walk into my room and step on something by mistake! Honestly, I would rather live in a "comfortable and lived-in" space, but most people don't want to come over and see a huge mess and my husband doesn't like it much. Guess I'm just a slob. :-)

What with all these teens, especially girls, have computers, most likely with internet, in there rooms and not in a common family area? Where did parental common sense go?
I don't have kids yet but if I have a daughter, or son, whatever doesn't really matter. Bottom line, since I work as a computer technician, my kids computers will be locked down and monitored.
I have no issues with kids having computers if their parents monitor what they do on them, and restrict certain things.
Though as per the messy rooms, that is another story. My room is littered with my camera equipment and computer parts. I have a feeling I will fail at keeping my kids rooms clean. Hopefully the wife would balance me out there.
Great idea for a post I don't have any kids yet but might be fun to do a shot a week of there room from they are small all the way up till hem moving out
The photography isn't the best. I just used the point and shoot, which isn't as wide as I thought it was. My 21 year old son's room. It ALWAYS looks like this. Even after he cleans. The clothes on the shoe boxes are the freshly washed ones. They never really make it into the dresser or closet.
Sorry - you are all lightweights. This is a freshman dorm at an otherwise wonderful New England College where three males are residing in something that resembles a veal pen. But hey, it's slightly cheaper than buying a new BMW every year. http://www.cowper.com/fm/_Y9D2172.jpg

What's with super judgmental posts based on ignorance? Where did the photography posts go?
I'll play. But I will take a picture of my college apartment, no kids. Don't make fun of me for my blank walls, I haven't had time to put up my posters yet!
