p.2 #1 · Teenagers Bedroom

My 12 y/o daughter lives in an even messier version of the above pics. Notice the technology that keeps them from hardly moving, let alone picking up and cleaning. (PC, texting) My daughter has her cell phone attached at the palm.......forever.

I'm an 18 year old guy and my DORM room (meaning no mom to tell me to clean up) isn't nearly that messy. And I'm generally noted to be a disorganized person.

Maybe we're cleaner here. Maybe it's just my residence. But not many people have disasters for rooms.. Of note, I was a technology deprived teen (until my later years). No personal laptop til I went off to school, no cell til I was in Gr. 9. Kids these days

It went into a small box. Inside that small box you'll find dangerous assumptions and poor grammar.

What with all these teens, especially girls, have computers, most likely with internet, in there rooms and not in a common family area? Where did parental common sense go?

I guess your are assuming internet access on those computers, I know that most kids nowadays are using computers to do homework and write papers, I don't think internet on a bedroom computer would be necessary. Our daughter has a laptop that stays in the living room to use for internet and we know all her passwords to sites like myspace.

What's up w/ the baby in the bottom right?

That was a school project, the "baby" was actually a computerized robot that she had to care for over a weekend..2AM feedings and all were programed into it.

This would be a cool time lapse project. From the start of clean week to the end.

My 'teenage' countdown is 10 years, 4 months, & 12 days...not that I'm counting or worried!

p.2 #15 · Teenagers Bedroom

My mom used to ground us (and there were 8 of us) for a week if we left our towels in the bathroom on the floor. Our house was prestine, at all times, Saturday mornings were not for cartoons, it was for maintaining the cleanliness of our rooms. We didn't have computers, God forbid we wanted to get a cell phone before we left the house, and absolutely no way were we allowed to veg in front of a tv if there was dusting or sweeping to do.

With that being said, I still turned out to be sloppy, I'll admit it freely. I think when your a teenager, you tend to be focused on the politics of society, homework, and trying to figure out how to get mom and dad to let you out of the house on a Friday night. And when your a parent, you're praying that they don't do drugs, that they hate dating, love homework, and don't comprehend what party even means.

Just a thought.

Love the pictures by the way.

There are at max only two people you can blame for rooms that look like most of these pictures. Guess who they are. After all whose house is it or who is paying the rent. If my room had ever looked as bad as some of these - well it would never have happened.

In the first image it looks like she is yelling at you to get out. Can hear it now "DAAAAD STOP!"

The school project is interesting, but I would be afraid that she would lose the baby in the clutter. Now that would be interesting to explain.

If you notice the wrist band she is wearing, It is used by the baby to identify her as the "mother" it is not removable and is cut off at the end of the wekend. It also has sensors that record diaper changing, feeding, burping, and even an impact sensor!
