It seems we had some similar thoughts this week. I hope you don't mind that my entry is a pretty similar theme. Your shot is absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful lighting as always.
Thank you, Steve. I'm so glad you like this. Why on earth would I mind that you have a similar idea. Some of the other photos this week are quite wonderful but so far, at least, you and I are the only ones who have photographed the topic - "Fruits" - plural - meaning more than one fruit. I'm not sure how else to portray "Fruits" other than via some sort of still life.
All best wishes,
Endre

Very fruity and well composed Endre. Has a touch of the old master school about it.
PS. I do wish that Fred would not duplicate assignment subjects, however, I'm sure that it's no easy task running a website like this one. No doubt he has plenty enough to think about.
Thanks, Bill! It's always great to hear from you! I'm so glad you like this. I did a little online research to remind me of what old Dutch still life paintings look like before i shot this. I'm glad I was successful in evoking that old master quality.
Now, Fred's computer generates the topics. I think there are only a hundred or so possible topics that get spit out in random order - at least it feels like that. Since instituting the computerized system, Fred's presence has virtually disappeared from the site. I kinda liked knowing that he was lurking about but I don't get that feeling any longer. Still, the site is wonderful and I'm very grateful to him for setting it up and maintaining it however he does.
All the best,
Endre
