You make it rough on a person, Endre! With two versions, my inclination, which I had resisted at first, is to prefer one over the other. Then you come along in replying to comments and ask for a preference. Arrrrrgh! Back and forth, leaning first one way then the other--- then I look at the larger version and my starboard list is righted and replaced with one to port. First version, by a nose--- I like the revealing of the reflection of the grapes.
Of course, now there's the choice of the B&W or the color... No rest for the weary, or should I say, the indecisive! So reminiscent of a Dutch master's work, I love this one. An ornately framed large print of this would be outstanding in a formally decorated room.
I guess you'll be frequenting the farmers' market and the fruit stands now, eh?
Oh my, Cal, my friend! I'm sorry for causing you such stress. I really appreciate you input, though, and will keep the original brighter version as my entry. I'm always so glad when you like something I do. I don't plan on making fruit my next coffee table book project, though.
Warm regards,
Endre

Although I'm fairly new to this site, I've spent a lot of time getting to know the works of some of you who are the masters of the WA. This is definitely up to my estimations of you! it has your signature all over it.
Thanks so much for your very kind comments, Chris! I'm honored that you so enjoy all my photos and particularly happy that this one inspired you to comment. I must say, I have an inkling toward the antiqued version, myself. I will keep both and if ever anyone buys one, I think the more antique one would look really good printed on canvas.
All the best,
Endre

I like the 'washed' version. It looks older!

Thanks, Eric, my friend! It's nice to see you over here at the WA and I appreciate you kind comment. Everyone has their preference so I'll keep 'em all and let whoever is buying one decide which one speaks to them most.
All best wishes,
Endre

Color version looks marvelous as well (although I am more partial to b/w in general)

I vote for the original. I don't know why but flipping back and forth between them, I just "like" the more vivid one.

This is absolutely superb. And while it is probably expected of you to antique the photo in some way, the vividness of the fruit plays really nicely with the darker tones in the photograph. And with Autumn and Winter rolling in fast, it's a nice warm burst of color.
Thanks, Matthew! I'm so glad you like it. As you see, I kept the more vivid one as my entry. I appreciate your input.
All the best,

Thanks! I'm very glad you like it! What you see there is another grape in the shadow background. However, I can see how it might be misinterpreted so I cloned it out in the original. I won't bother posting a replacement, though. Thanks for the tip.
All the best,

Very nice Strad! Did the one green grape dangling over the edge move during the exposure or is that something else I'm seeing?
