If anyone is interested I post my shots from friday's football game...you can go here:

http://www.simplyimagesphotography.com/Events/October-2009/SJAVarFootballHarmon/9857564_w5WGG#670877168_GYpk5

the majority are shot at iso6400, 1/400 and 2.8...all with the 7D and Sigma 120-300.

Realized this may be misleading...part of my workflow is to add a little Noise Ninja, so these shot have had NN applied, so these are not straight out of camera JPEGS. I still find the results to be AMAZING!

The original Volleyball pics I posted are straight out of camera.

And, I made sure to turn off NR in camera and add NN later in my workflow.

A few at the beginning were from 3200 to 5000 ISO I think. Plus shot a quick really shot video clip at half time.

To the OP - graphic evidence that a picture is worth a thousand words. Or, in this forum, 50,000 words (most of which are BS).

Those pics look great!

I should add...the AF of the 7D is as good or better than my 1d2 hands down. In fact I forgot I reset to defaul settings and had my AF on the 9 center points instead of just the 1 center point and the camera always nailed the shot. I later used center point expanded and decided the camera did just as good of a job with all 9 active.

Now, if I can just figure out the video piece of this camera...lol!

Well my name came up on the list faster than I thought and I got the call late Friday the 7D was in and ready for me to pick up. I picked it up the next morning and have been reading the manual to get familiar with all that it has to offer.
Yes, I'm actually reading the manual!

I got my wife to play with our dogs and get them to be active which really doesn't take much coaxing. I'll post some of those photos as soon as I've downloaded the images. From what I can tell from reviewing the images on the LCD, the images came out quite sharp! I am very pleased. Like I mentioned before, I'm upgrading from the Rebel XT so this is a big step up for me.

I'll have a chance to photo some volleyball on 19 Oct , so I'll post a few of those images out here as well.

I look forward to seeing more 7D photos from others out here.

Yup, me too. I concluded some time ago that i must be naturally lopsided. No matter what i do i seem to end up with the same slanting horizon every time.

Add me to the list (no pun intended)

They look great Marvin, I was surprised while shooting my VB game how bright the images looked on the LCD and thought the 'real' ones would be darker , but they weren't!
