I picked up a used 90mm Elmarit R on E-bay. It arrived today and I snatched the people around me for a few shots. I can tell already I'm going to love this lens on the Canon 5 D II.
How much did you pay for the lens ? What adapter ?

Thanks. I got a great deal on an E-bay auction. $530.00 with the adapter for the Canon, a B+W UV filter, and Leitz Elpro III "macro" lens attachment. All in very fine cosmetic and working condition. Leica glass on Canon makes a notable difference IMHO.

Thank you. This beautiful lady has a glow I think came through in the photograph. I'm generally not a fan of CMOS sensors for B&W people shots, but the new Canon 5D II with Leica glass is blowing me away.
