Hey Dan, nice of you to drop by for this little special moment. I know you haven't spent much time on FM lately, so it's even nicer to see you making a comment in this post. Thank you so much buddy. All the best!

Remember what I told you before? Finally!!! It's real!
Thank you for believing in me. Keep on handing out those 'nits. You've made us a bit better by not being afraid to share your opinions.
I'd like to dedicate some of this honor to you my friend. Thanks!
Andy -
Congratulations on the image being selected for the National Geographic. It looked like a "special" shot when I saw the FM post back then.
Took me a while before I saw this post since I was away from the computer for a week.

I don't know what to say. I'm so overwhelmed. Thank You, from the bottom of my heart!! All the thousands of hours of hard work, all the thousands of miles traveled (on foot) have finally paid off. This is the one prize I'd like to share with my fellow photography-lovers. Here's to you! Wonderful to see the 3 assignment wins you got!
Andy,
It was a post by Hanh that led me to your web site, and when I saw that image, I was absolutely stunned. That is a tremendous photo, at once violent and beautiful. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing some of what it takes to get that kind of shot.

Congrats!!!!! That is an unbelieveable shot! I am learning the D300 & 300f/4 & sometimes tag a 1.7 on it. I need your help & you need to write a book. Keep up your dedication & great work!
Hi,
Thank you for the comment.
Writing a book is the furthest thing from my mind right now. Seeing that you shoot with exactly the same equipment as I do, is there any issue you need my help with, in the mean time?

I remember seeing photos in National Geographic when I was a kid and wanting to be a photographer because of them, and I suppose because of people like you, who actually take the photos that make the grade and inspire others to do so. Thank you.
Thank you, Bill, for sharing your sentiments. That means a lot to me.

Awesome shot, Andy! Only you know what it took to capture this moment; I'd surmise it didn't all "come together" five minutes before you dropped the shutter on this one. Capturing a moment like this is its own reward, but a little global recognition must be a nice kicker. Looking forward to seeing your next "killer" shot--I know it's coming, soon....Mitch
Mitch, thanks very much for "seeing the light". The thing is, I'm not banking on just this one image. Hope to have more news to share soon.
