Andy - thanks for posting. My wife just showed me the photo in NG this morning and then I come to FM and there it is again, only with a picture of the guy who took it. Great job.

Andy that is as good as it gets and like you after 58years taking wildlife photos I too was as you say trying to make a photo perfect in the camera as my dark room work was limited to after hours time. Yes many times, (as I bet you know) was spent into the wee hours of the morning in my dark room trying to get a color right after 4 or 5 printings I have found your work to be some of the best I have seen posted on FM and I certainly think you deserve this honor. Congratulations to you and wishing you more of the same for the future.

Lou,
Thank you. This means so much to me. It's a great feeling to know there's someone out there that shares your passion and appreciation as you do. I'd like to dedicate this honor (NG) to you and everyone who's ever had the same aspiration and dream. Respectfully, Sir!
Andy

Congratulations - simply amazing shot!! The best shot to date on this board.
Thanks so much Carl. I would not dare to take that "best" distinction. I agree it was an "amazing" shot, but gotta give credit to my "model" the Egret.

Congratulations again Andy. I have said it before, and you prove my point. Great photographers aren't "lucky" - they make their own luck. Your hard work and dedication have won you a much deserved honor.

Thank you, Ron. I wouldn't want to prove you wrong.
This one's on me.
Thanks to Michael, Casey, Mike, Tim K., Lynda, MtnM, Hung, Tom. Good to see you guys.

Huge Congratulations Andy!! I think the outcome would have been the same without my suggestion but I'm thrilled to be a tiny part of this great success

Nevertheless, it's the emotional support that counts. That's what friends are for.
Thanks again, Tom.
Thank you Greg, bvihlidal, Gene, Juhku, Billy, Michael R for your support.

I believe that the moment I got the Magazine I looked you up on it and said you were in National Geographic Well it is a Holy Grail Indeed Keep Amazing us!
nks12345, thank you for your vote of confidence. Was it you who commented on the "Holy Grail of Photography" thread and inadvertently brought it from the depth up to the first page of posts? I got a bit of heat from some people thinking that I had something to do with that. No worries, I know your intentions are good. Thanks again.
I should be thanking the Egret as well. You can rest assured that I'll never get another one like that again.
