Thanks so much, Norm! Coming from a flower photo specialist like yourself it is high praise! These grow everywhere in huge vine clumps out here so most everyone has seen them. They have really tight twisting vine-holds to secure them to things. You can see one just below the flower - that part that looks like screw-threads. Right now, they have mostly gone into fruit, though, so I was lucky to be able to find a blossom still out.
All best wishes,
Endre

What a great shot Endre, very colorful and presentation very nicely done. Out of all the flowers I have shot I doubt over the years I have shot this flower more than twice, I'm impressed.

What a wonderful wacky flower you have captured. As usual your lighting is beyond fantastic, and it suits this subject perfectly. Just a phenomenal entry as usual.
Thank you so much, Steve! It is always wonderful hearing from you and I'm so glad you like it.
All the best,
Endre

I new it right away. Super clear shot and once again, crazy stuff in the house. I went all white, you went with the black. Love it as usual. Been so long. Seems like lots of people came out of the wood works for this one. Feels good to hear from some of them and also make the connection with tons I have never met. Thanks for stopping by and look forward to good topics and catching up with old friends. Hopefully I can hang with you guys because this shot just puts my little thing right back into level one. ha ha
Thanks so much, Steve, my friend. As always, I'm delighted that you like it, but I have to disagree with you. Your shot this week is definitely a contender, so don't sell it short.
Warm regards,
Endre

Wow... impressive control of the light, for a beautiful flower. Just enough DoF so that the flower is sharp, but well integrated withe the background. Really nice.
Thank you so much for such kind comments! I'm so glad you like it.
All the best,

Well Endre I think you actually just went out and fabricated this flower. It looks so un-Earthly perfect and weird. Great lighting and composition, as usual. A sublime entry.
Thank you so much, Carolyn. I always love hearing from you. I'm so glad you like it.
I played a chamber music concert in Santa Fe a long time ago but I don't travel as much as I once did so I have been there in a long while. Since I don't sing, I'm unlikely to perform at the Opera, though.
All best wishes,
Endre
