These Passion Fruit flowers grow all over Southern California. Just in case you haven't seen one of these before, here is the Wikipedia entry so you can read about them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passion_Flower
Hello Endre,
What an interesting flower, almost looks alien. The colors are lovely and the lighting is very dramatic, the dark background leads the eye right to the flower. A great take on the WA.

Yep, these are bizarre yet beautiful for sure. Great capture. The thing I find most odd about this flower is the five-symmetry in the middle, vs. the outside with a different number of petals.
Thanks, Nick, my friend! I always appreciate your kind comments on my shots and am really glad you like this.
Fond regards,
Endre

wow, what an amazing flower, I have never seen anything like that. Very impressive, and you captured it perfectly. Congrats, and good luck this week, but with shots like that, you don't need any luck at all.
Hello Endre!
These 'passion flowers' also grew near a lake cabin we had when I was a child, and I've always loved them....not just for their unique appearance, but their intense fragrance. This is a gorgeous capture....I can almost smell the sweetness!

Great shot. I took some pics of one of these at a butterfly farm a couple of years ago (nowhere near as good as this). Been wondering what it was ever since. Thanks for the heads-up.
Thanks so much, Philly! I'm so glad you like it and that it brought back some pleasant memories for you.
All best wishes,
Endre

What a great shot Endre, very colorful and presentation very nicely done. Out of all the flowers I have shot I doubt over the years I have shot this flower more than twice, I'm impressed.
