Went out for a walk with this tamron 28-75 today. It's nice and sharp, and fuctions perfectly. Packaging was beyond my expectations. Lots of bubblewrap, lots of peanuts. This good experience for my first FM forum purchase!
comments: I bought Natalia's Canon 100-400 IS. I put out a request for a sharp 100-400 and I would pay top dollar for it. Natalia came through with a winner. This lense is clearly sharper and contrastier than my last 100-400. Natalia shipped the lense on time and it arrived exactly as described. I would gladly do business with her again.
comments: Lori sold me her Canon 28-300 IS. The transaction was smooth and the lense arrived 2 day's early and as described. From my early test I have to say the lense is as sharp as Lori said it was and much sharper then I expected. I'm very impressed with this lense and am sure that I have a " great " copy.

Comments: Bought a tripod ring and a hood for the 100mm macro f2.8 from Zach. Talk about a great guy to deal with. I purchased these items from him yesterday (Zach lives in Indiana) and today they arrived at my house via FedEx (I live in Pennsylvania). He followed up the sale with a phone call to me confirming that he had received the funds and then today, he called up to see if everything was satisfactory. Even though he is relatively new to the FM board, he is in my opinion, one of the best FM'ers. The tripod ring and the hood were in immaculate condition.

I don't normally do this - but Pete deserves a special mention. I bought the CZ 18 F4 from Peter about a week ago. He described the lens as mint, but I've learned from past experience that mint means nothing. But the pictures looked good, so I rolled the dice.
This lens isn't mint - it's new! If it came with the box, I'd swear it was brand new. The lens is perfect, the hood is perfect, the UV is perfect. The only thing that shows wear is the caps. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Oh, and the coolest hood/filter design I've seen yet.
He sold this lens for a friend - if the other lenses are in equal condition - don't hesitate! It is so nice to receive something and actually have it exceed my expectations. Thank you Peter. And thank you FM.
As for the lens - well, it's going about against the 16-35L later this week. I'll post pictures later. First impression is - a very different 18mm perspective than the 16-35L. Color & contrast is very strong.
I purchased a Zeiss 18mm F4 Distagon from Peter. This is the single best piece of used gear I've ever purchased. He said it was mint - no, it was as good as factory fresh new. If Peter ever has another lens that I need and he says it's mint - I wouldn't even think twice.
